Carmens Brick & Mortar Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Ingredients
1 lb Chop meat
1 large can of crushed tomatoes
1 can of tomato paste
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 lb Spaghetti of your choice
1/2 cup Locatelli Romano Cheese
5 cloves of finely chopped garlic
1 small finely chopped onion
garlic powder
oregano
parsley
8 chopped fresh basil leaves
Instructions
In a large bowl place the chop meat with 1 tbs garlic powder, 1 tbs parsley, 1 tbs oregano and mix throughly
In a large skillet on medium heat, heat up the 1/2 cup of olive oil add the chopped garlic & onion and sauté until soft
Add the meat to the skillet with the garlic and onion then cook till brown throughout breaking it up into small pieces while cooking
In a large pot boil water and cook the Spaghetti to your liking.
In a large pot add crushed tomatoes, 1/2 can of tomato paste, 1 tbs garlic powder , 1 tbs parsley, 1 tbs oregano, 8 chopped basil leaves & 1/2 cup of Locatelli Romano Cheese
On medium flame bring the sauce to a boil. Stir frequently so sauce doesn’t stink.
When the sauce comes to a boil add the meat, onions & garlic and simmer for 10 - 15 mins. Again stirring frequently.
Strain spaghetti
In a large bowl add some sauce to the bottom then add the spaghetti coat with meat sauce. If preferred add more sauce to your liking.
