Carmens Brick & Mortar Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chop meat

  • 1 large can of crushed tomatoes

  • 1 can of tomato paste

  • 1/4 cup of olive oil

  • 1 lb Spaghetti of your choice

  • 1/2 cup Locatelli Romano Cheese

  • 5 cloves of finely chopped garlic

  • 1 small finely chopped onion

  • garlic powder

  • oregano

  • parsley

  • 8 chopped fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl place the chop meat with 1 tbs garlic powder, 1 tbs parsley, 1 tbs oregano and mix throughly

  2. In a large skillet on medium heat, heat up the 1/2 cup of olive oil add the chopped garlic & onion and sauté until soft

  3. Add the meat to the skillet with the garlic and onion then cook till brown throughout breaking it up into small pieces while cooking

  4. In a large pot boil water and cook the Spaghetti to your liking.

  5. In a large pot add crushed tomatoes, 1/2 can of tomato paste, 1 tbs garlic powder , 1 tbs parsley, 1 tbs oregano, 8 chopped basil leaves & 1/2 cup of Locatelli Romano Cheese

  6. On medium flame bring the sauce to a boil. Stir frequently so sauce doesn’t stink.

  7. When the sauce comes to a boil add the meat, onions & garlic and simmer for 10 - 15 mins. Again stirring frequently.

  8. Strain spaghetti

  9. In a large bowl add some sauce to the bottom then add the spaghetti coat with meat sauce. If preferred add more sauce to your liking.

  10. Serve and enjoy!
